Donation for life-saving child heart surgery

04/06/2019

Christa Fritschi, the organizer of Aktion Kinderherz, receives a donation check in the amount of € 2000.- from Gerhard R. Daiger, Managing Director of Dr. Walser Dental.

Time and again, children in Senegal suffer from congenital heart disease, through which the children are consecrated to death. Due to a lack of medical technology, however, they can not undergo surgery in their home country.

The parents live mostly in poor conditions and can not pay the expensive heart surgery in Germany. Thus, the life-saving surgery is financed by donations.

When contact persons from Senegal report to Mrs. Fritschi that again a child suffers life-threatening from heart disease, she immediately organizes the flight to Stuttgart and prepares everything necessary. Having arrived in Stuttgart, the children and their companion from Senegal are driven directly to Tübingen to the Heart clinic and admitted to the pediatric cardiology.

The organizer Christa Fritschi looks after the Senegalese children and their companion at home for two to three weeks after the operation. Until the doctors agree and the children are able to master the flight back home. The aftercare of the children is taken over by the pediatric cardiologist Dr. Seiler in Konstanz.
