Surgery succeeded - again saved a child

17/06/2019

Mustapha, another child from Senegal, could be saved from death by a complex heart surgery. Dr. Walser Dental supported the surgery financially.

After his landing at the airport in Stuttgart, the 2 years old Senegal-born Mustapha, was recently driven to the heart clinic in Tübingen, where he was successfully operated in the pediatric cardiology.

He is one of more than 60 children from Senegal, who have been flown to Germany within the last 20 years through the initiative "children's hearts" and operated in Tübingen in the heart clinic and were rescued from death. Mustapha was accompanied by the nurse Anna, who also lives in Senegal and works at a clinic, and looked after him around the clock.

After the surgery, Christa Fritschi cares for Mustapha, like for all "heart children", at home together with Anna in Orsingen. Only when the state of health has stabilized and the doctors have no concerns, Mustapha may fly back with Anna to Senegal.
